Working with GenCraft

From drawings to finished fabrication.

GenCraft Designs supports projects through coordinated drafting, in-house production, and structured scheduling.

Clear documentation from the start

Every project begins with detailed shop drawings prepared by our in-house drafting team. These drawings translate design intent into precise dimensions, materials, and construction methods before fabrication begins.

Once drawings are approved, parts move directly into production. Because drafting and fabrication are closely connected, the transition from design to manufacturing stays efficient and controlled.

For commercial projects, the team can also assist with value engineering when requested. This may include evaluating materials or fabrication approaches while maintaining the original design intent.

Model rooms and production planning

For large hospitality or multi-room projects, model rooms are often produced before full manufacturing begins. These initial builds allow design teams and project stakeholders to review details, finishes, and installation conditions before production expands.

Once the model is approved, fabrication proceeds with consistency across the remaining rooms.

Large hospitality projects are typically produced and shipped one floor at a time, allowing adjustments to be made during installation without affecting the rest of the build.

In-house upholstery and fabrication

Many projects require furniture that combines wood fabrication with upholstered elements. To maintain consistency, GenCraft produces upholstery in-house alongside casework and furniture production.

Capabilities include:

Commercial seating

guest room

Guestroom headboards and benches

Lee Meier Interiors Dining room

Select residential seating

Frames are built internally and upholstered within the same production environment. This approach keeps materials aligned and helps maintain consistent quality across furniture and casework elements.

Quality checks before shipment

Before any project leaves the shop, pieces move through multiple quality checks.

Inspections occur during finishing and again prior to packaging to ensure surfaces and construction meet internal standards. Components are dry-fit or pre-assembled when needed to confirm alignment before shipment.

Final approval is completed during finish assembly before items are prepared for delivery.

Shipping and delivery coordination

Shipping methods vary depending on project type and scale.

For large commercial projects, clients typically coordinate freight while GenCraft prepares and loads shipments according to project schedules. Hospitality projects may ship floor-by-floor or move through warehouse distribution depending on the installation plan.

For custom cabinetry projects, the GenCraft team provides direct delivery and staging within the home to ensure pieces arrive safely and are positioned correctly for installation.

Project scale and timelines

GenCraft frequently supports hospitality guestroom projects and multi-room commercial interiors, producing items such as:

  • Headboards
  • Dressers
  • Nightstands
  • Seating and casegoods

Typical lead times range from 12–14 weeks, depending on project scope and scheduling requirements.

What clients experience

  • Clear, timely responses throughout the project
  • Production that stays aligned with agreed schedules
  • Finished work that reflects the original design intent

These qualities reflect the company’s long-standing focus on accountability, coordination, and attention to detail.
